The Hammond M-Solo
The M-Solo is an amazing innovation when it comes to compact organs: it’s the lightest and most compact organ Hammond has ever made. The organ only weighs 3,6 kilos, it has 49 keys, and has a size of only 731 (w) x 274 (d) x 85 (h) millimetres. As such, the organ is very suitable for travelling musicians, musicians with little space at home or in the studio, keyboardists who want to start playing the organ, and musicians who want to purchase an organ but who have a smaller budget.
Sounds
Additionally, the sound of the M-Solo is fantastic. The fact that the organ is so compact and affordable is fortunately not at the cost of the quality. The organ has Hammond’s MTW II (Modelled Tone Wheel III) drawbar engine, which is also installed in their amazing XK-4 organ. Furthermore, the organ contains all essential Hammond functions, such as the Vibrato-Chorus (including C1, C2, and C3), touch-responsive percussion, a polyphonic synthesizer, four separate organ types, reverb, delay vibrato, wah-wah, overdrive, and much more. As such, the organ is very versatile and suitable for all keyboardists. Do you want to start playing the organ? The M-Solo will be an awesome choice.
Connections
The M-Solo has a MIDI in and a MIDI out. It’s also important to know that the organ has a USB connection. Furthermore, you can connect the organ to a PA system with the stereo line out. You can also connect the organ to your phone so you can play along with your favourite music and you can connect headphones to the organ if you want to play in private. Consequently, the M-Solo is a great organ for studio use and for on stage.
