Yamaha's much-praised PSR-S keyboards are taken to the next level with the introduction of the new PSR-SX models. The Yamaha PSR-SX900 and its smaller brother the PSR-SX700 will convince many musicians. This new generation of keyboards is designed to maximize playing feel and fun. In short, this results in a mini-Genos that is a lot more affordable, but still has very high-quality sound, a new intuitive operation and a rich range of possibilities.

OPERATION AND CONTROL OF THE YAMAHA PSR-SX900

The operation of the new Yamaha PSR-SX900 has been greatly improved. Derived from the Genos, the keyboard features a 7-inch touchscreen display. This directly accessible display makes it easier to take full control of the keyboard's powerful functions. Your favourite settings can be assigned to the six assignable knobs, live control buttons, pedals or the shortcut menu. You can easily select them with a single touch.

Yamaha has also completely renewed the 61-key keyboard. The new FSB keyboard offers a remarkably pleasant playing comfort. The resistance has been slightly increased and the support point of the key has been slightly adjusted. The result is a keyboard on which you can play even more comfortably, especially at the back of the keys. To the left of the keyboard, the keyboard is equipped with a joystick for adjusting pitch and modulation control.

The HK Audio Polar 8 has been added as a Benjamin model to the wildly popular Polar speaker series. The Polar 8 offers fantastic sound quality with easy operation in a compact housing. This makes the system easy to transport but also very user-friendly in smaller spaces such as living rooms and practice rooms. We know from experience that this speaker comes into its own in combination with a keyboard, synthesizer or stage piano. Another unique feature of this model is that two units can form a fully-fledged wireless stereo system via Bluetooth TWS. HK Audio is also developing the Polar 10 and Polar 12 in this series.

Powerful and versatile system

Despite its compact size, the HK Audio Polar 8 is a powerful 1200 watt system consisting of an 8 inch subwoofer and a column element containing the mid/high unit with 6 smaller 2.5 inch speakers. The high-quality components used by HK Audio ensure an exceptionally transparent and natural sound from the deepest bass to the finest high tones. The dispersion angle of 120 degrees ensures a wide coverage of high-quality sound in smaller spaces and often even ensures that an extra monitor is unnecessary on stages. With the help of the accompanying spacer, the audio system can be set to different heights.

Built into the system is a built-in mixer that offers sufficient possibilities for a wide range of applications including two channels for microphone or line signal and an aux channel for connecting external equipment. The speaker is also equipped with a Bluetooth channel with which audio can be streamed wirelessly from, for example, a smartphone or tablet. Everything works extremely user-friendly and the total volume can be managed with a separate master control or adjusted to the local conditions with the built-in equalizer.
