The sound styles of the Opus Choir 260
The organ features four different sound characters based on historic organs, for example, the Romantic sound style exclusively uses voices from the Vater-Müller organ of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam and the symphonic style features sounds from the Adema organ in Raalte combined with voices from the Cavaillé-Coll from Paris. The historical style features samples from the Hinsz organ in Kampen, and finally, the Baroque style is based on the sounds of the Silbermann organ from the Hofkirche in Dresden. Some stops have dual designations and this is called style-variable disposition. To do best justice to each voice and each style, the best composition was considered for each style.
With the new convolution reverb, the organ has very realistic reverb options, with 12 different programmes to choose from. In case the room where the organ is placed does not have the desired acoustics, reverb can be added. New technology and ambience function
Technological developments follow each other in rapid succession and this is also taken into account in the latest organs. The new Opus series features the OranjeCore+ technology, which guarantees fast start-up times, excellent sound quality and long-term reliability. The reverb options have been further expanded with a new convolution reverb. As a final addition, there is also a new digital mixer that creates an optimal sound experience.
Furthermore, the Ambiance option is also an enrichment for the Opus series. Regardless of which reverb is selected, this provides the option to select the location of the listening position in the church. This way it can sound as if you are sitting behind the console of one of the famous organs, but also as if you are sitting in the middle or at the back of the church!
