The history of Yamaha

The Yamaha brand name is well known in the world of musical instruments, but also extends far beyond it. Motorcycles, skis and audio equipment, among other things, are produced today. However, the company's origins lie entirely in music, and the three tuning forks that make up the logo are a nice detail of this. The Japanese company Yamaha was founded in 1887 by Mr. Tarakuse Yamaha. He started making Harmoniums and more than 13 years later, in 1900, he built the first pianos. The Zimmerman S6 is a beautiful 126 centimeter high piano made of elegant furniture. Zimmerman's origins date back to 1884, when Richard Zimmerman started building pianos in Leipzig. The highly regarded brand was acquired in 1992 by Bechstein, a renowned piano company with a long history. Bechstein then started making Zimmerman pianos according to European standards under the same high standards as their Bechstein pianos and with an eye to the Zimmerman history. These instruments are built using traditional European craftsmanship techniques, combined with modern innovations. As a result, these pianos offer an excellent balance between playability, durability and sound quality.
