Roland TD-27KV2 Digital Drum Kit

When you buy a TD-27, you will now receive a free DW2000A Kick Pedal. The promotion runs until March 31st and also applies to online purchases, so don't hesitate if you want to take advantage of it. Read more about it here.

The Roland TD-27KV2 is the successor to the successful TD-27KV drum kit. The old TD-27 was loved by enthusiastic hobbyists to professional drummers because of its great playing comfort and unprecedented possibilities. After a number of years of further development, Roland can now implement a number of refinements that further improve the playing experience.

What is new in the TD-27KV2?

There are a number of changes made to the Roland TD-27KV but the one we considered the most important is the hi-hat upgrade. The new version comes with the new 14-inch digital hi-hat, the VH-14D. The digital technology makes the hi-hat even more sensitive, allowing you to create the smallest nuances in your drumming. The 18-inch ride remains as it was, but the two crash cymbals have also been updated. Feedback from the professional scene was often that the Roland cymbals played well but felt too thick. The Japanese company has addressed this and is now releasing both the 12-inch and 14-inch crash in a "thin" version and further improves playability.

The basis of all sounds that can be made on the drum kit is of course the module. This module has had an update that makes more functions available and it has the Prismatic Sound Modeling technology from the flagship, the TD-50. In total there are 75 preset kits that are ready for use, of which 10 new kits have been added that consist entirely of new samples.

The TD-27KV in a nutshell

The TD-27KV2 can be considered a mid-range drum kit that provides for a wide audience. The kit is spacious, allowing for comfortable seating and natural positioning. The expression of the Roland drum kit is superior and the new hi-hat only enhances this further. The module offers unprecedented possibilities both in terms of presets and the ability to even build presets and tweak settings down to the smallest details. The bluetooth function allows wireless audio playback over the drum kit, offering the possibility to drum along with your favourite music yourself. The recording options are also very extensive, so the TD-27KV2 lets you do whatever you want.

Roland TD-17KVX2 V-Drums

With the purchase of a TD-17, you now get a DW2000 Kick Pedal for free. The promotion runs until 31 March and also applies to online purchases, so don't hesitate if you want to take advantage of it. Read more about it here.

The Roland TD-17KVX2 builds on the world's best-selling drum kit of recent years, the TD-17KVX. This drum kit is suitable for the enthusiastic beginner as well as the semi-professional player. Despite its great success, after several years Roland deemed it time for some changes to further enhance the playing feel and drumming experience. In a nutshell, this means that the crash cymbals have become thinner which incorporates much-heard feedback from the professional scene. In addition, the module has undergone a major upgrade. This makes drumming on a TD-17 even more fun!

What the TD-17KVX2 offers

The sensitive pads and high-quality module offer an authentic playing feel and optimal sound experience. These sounds come from a module based on the industry-leading TD-50 sound generator. The reproduced sounds are very true to nature and feature characteristics of real acoustic drums. More than 70 high-quality kits are available in the KVX2 version, including 20 brand new kits made from all-new samples.

Of course, the module still features the bluetooth function that allows audio to be streamed wirelessly to the drum kit. The snare drum and all toms feature mesh heads while the hi-hat consists of the modern and innovative VH-10. Roland is the market leader in digital percussion and owes this in part to the mesh heads they developed. The patent on these heads has now expired, but Roland's technological lead is such that they remain highly distinctive. In terms of response and longevity, the pads perform excellently, leading to very realistic playing feel.

Proving Roland's strength once again, the new PDX-12 snare drum is 12 inches in size making it not much inferior in size to a regular acoustic snare drum. High-quality materials and a newly developed rim make drumming even more realistic and allow you to realise all drumming techniques without having to compromise. Three times the PDX-8 as toms completes the set just like the TD-17KV with mesh heads.

Big added value over the TD-17KV2 is the VH-10 hi-hat. Mounted on a traditional hi-hat stand, this floating design offers the same playing feel as an acoustic hi-hat with a natural feel of recoil and cymbal movement. The open/closed movement and bow/edge sound allow for traditional playing techniques. The TD-17KVX also features multiple and large cymbals, namely two 12-inch crashes and a 13-inch ride. All cymbals concern the aforementioned new ‘thin’ variant which means the thinner and offer an even better drumming experience.

Do you like the Roland TD-17, but is this drum kit just over budget? Then check out the TD-17KV2.

Roland TD-07DMK - V-Drum Set

The TD-07DMK is a compact digital drum kit with a great price/quality ratio from Roland. Roland is a company that brings great audio products to the market, especially in the field of digital drum kits they are very popular. This is because they are very innovative and progressive. Their drum kits are of high quality and are used by professional drummers. The TD-07DMK is part of their TD-07 series. Within this series, drum kits are made that are compact and affordable. The TD-07DMK is the cheapest of the series, but does not compromise on quality.

The TD-07DMK Set

The TD-07DMK offers a lot for the price. The set includes two cymbals, a crash and a ride, as well as a hi-hat. These are made of rubber and have a great response. The set also includes three tom pads and a snare pad. These pads are made of mesh, not rubber. Rubber is the standard, but mesh is considered better. Mesh imitates the skin better in terms of rebound, feel and sound. Mesh heads are also quieter. You can always hear the rubber hitting the head, even when playing with headphones. Mesh heads do not have this problem, so the TD-07DMK is very quiet. The pads and cymbals also incorporate precision technology, so that every nuance of your playing is captured and processed into the sound. A hard strike will produce a louder sound than a soft strike, roll, rolling movement or touch.

Sound options

This drum set comes with the TD-07 module, like every set in this series. This is a high-quality drum module. The module has 50 built-in drum kits, giving you a wide choice of sounds. These kits have been recorded by professional drummers in the best studios, so that high quality can be guaranteed. In addition, these kits are customisable, allowing you to create the most unique sounds and combinations. You can also set the environment. An acoustic set sounds different depending on the room it is in. With the TD-07DMK you can adjust this, making the sound even more authentic. Furthermore, the module also has a Bluetooth function, allowing you to play along with your favourite songs. It is also possible to connect the module to a computer via the USB connection.

Please note: This drum set comes without a bass drum pedal

Why a digital drum kit?

But why digital drumming? A digital drum kit has certain advantages that an acoustic set does not have. Firstly, a digital drum kit is more compact and lighter than an acoustic one, which makes transport and assembly easier and the set takes up less space. In addition, it is not possible to play silently with an acoustic drum kit. With a digital drum kit, it is. The TD-07DMK has a headphone jack and silence technology, which allows you to play almost silently. This is ideal for the drummer who plays until very late or who lives in an apartment. Recording also becomes a lot easier. To record an acoustic set, a microphone must be placed at each drum and cymbal, which are then connected to a computer via an interface. The TD-07DMK can be connected directly to a computer with a USB cable. In addition, a digital set has many more sound options than an acoustic set, so that when you buy one digital drum kit, you actually get more. In short, the TD-07DMK is a great digital drum kit for a fantastic price!

Roland TD-02K - Digital Drum Set

The TD-02K is a great beginner drum kit from Roland. Roland is a Japanese company that produces high-quality instruments and audio products. They are mostly known for their digital drum sets. The TD-02 series contains several digital drum kits for beginning drummers. The drum kits have ultra-responsive pads, practice functions, upgrade possibilities and a wide variety of sounds for an affordable price. The TD-02K is the most affordable and compact drum kit of this series. The drum kit contains a snare pad, three tom pads, a bass drum pedal, a hi-hat, and two cymbals. This is considered the standard set-up for a drum kit.

The TD-02K is furthermore very suitable for younger players. The height of the drum kit can be adjusted and will thus be able to grow with you. Consequently, it isn’t a beginner drum kit that can only be used briefly: the drum kit is still suitable for more experienced players and individual pads can be upgraded if that’s necessary. Moreover, the drum kit is also suitable for someone who has little space as the kit is very compact, but it’s also very suitable for the drummer that needs to be as quiet as possible. The drum module (the little computer that produces the sound) has a Bluetooth function and an AUX-in so you can play the drums with headphones on. Additionally, the pedals don’t contain an actual knocker so it won’t produce unwanted sounds.

  • Once your application is validated, you will receive your cashback amount via bank transfer within 35 working days.

The DTX402KRL is a great drum kit for beginners! To be fair, you can always count on Yamaha; this Japanese company produces high-quality (digital) instruments and is a popular choice for digital drum kits. This set contains everything you’ll need as a beginner: a hi-hat plus pedal, a kick pedal, a snare pad, three tom pads, two cymbals, the rack, and the module. However, almost everything, as the set doesn’t include a stool or sticks, which you’ll need to purchase separately. This is nevertheless the standard, as both the stool and the sticks are subject to personal comfort. Every drummer has their favourite sticks and a stool, which means they’re sold separately. Yamaha focussed on the quality of the DTX402KRL, because a high-quality instrument will keep a beginner motivated to keep playing. They also prioritised affordability, as a beginner is likely unwilling to pay as much as a seasoned musician. Consequently, the appearance of the kit is relatively basic, but they made sure that the pads are high-quality and the module contains everything you’ll need!

Roland VAD103 - V-Drum Set

The VAD103 is a fine digital drum kit with great value for money from Roland. Roland produces high-quality digital audio products, and are the most popular on the market when it comes to digital drum kits. This drum kit is part of the VAD series. Within this series, digital drum kits are made that look acoustic. Roland found that the simple appearance of a digital drum kit can make for a less authentic experience. So the drum kits within this series are designed to look and feel like acoustic drum kits. In addition, the drum kits still have all the advantages of digital drum kits.

The Drum Kit

The VAD103 is one of the cheapest in the series. The set comes with a drum module, a snare, a tom, a floor tom, a hi-hat, a crash, a ride, a kick and two stands. Moreover, certain accessories are even included, such as the adapter, the stand for the module and a separate cable. So the set has almost all the basic essentials, so you can start drumming right away. A few parts are available separately, notably the bass drum pedal, the stool and the stands for the snare and hi-hat. However, these parts are available from us very affordably. The drum kit has all the standard pads, although it is also possible to add extra pads. However, this is not necessary, and this set is sufficient for a full-fledged drumming experience.

The Acoustic Experience

So the pads have a shiny black wooden outline, making them look like real drums. Moreover, the cymbals are also black, making the whole kit look beautiful and luxurious. It also replicates the acoustic drumming experience. The pads are a stroke larger than standard pads, making them look more authentic, but still not taking up as much space as a real acoustic kit. In addition, the pads are made of mesh, instead of rubber. This not only makes the touch sound quieter, but also makes it feel more authentic. By the way, the module also has many wonderful options. The module contains 25 different drum kits to choose between. All 25 options have been recorded by professional drummers in the best studios, for the most authentic sound possible. The module also has a Bluetooth function, allowing you to play along with all kinds of songs.

Please note! This drum kit is supplied without the following accessories:

  • Snare drum stand
  • High-hat stand
  • Bass drum pedal
  • Drum stool

Digital advantages

The set also has all the advantages of a digital kit. Firstly, this means that the kit is smaller than an acoustic kit, making it more suitable for smaller rooms. Moreover, the kit is also a lot quieter, if necessary. It is possible to connect headphones to the set, allowing you to play quietly. The pads of the VAD103 are also very quiet, so the touch of the pads causes very minimal noise. In addition, the stands are made of the best materials, so the vibrations won't be felt through the floors and walls either. So this is the ideal set for the drummer who wants to keep his neighbours happy. Finally, a digital drum kit is also easier to record. You can simply connect the module to your computer with a USB cable, allowing the sound to be recorded directly. So with the VAD103, it is no longer necessary to set up all kinds of microphones next to your drums!

Roland VAD-307 V-Drums Acoustic Design

The Roland VAD-307 is the second generation of the Roland VAD concept. VAD stands for V-Drum Acoustic Design - in short, the playing capabilities of an electronic drum kit with the look of an acoustic set. Although its predecessor, the VAD-306, was an unprecedented success, Roland decided it was time for an update. The TD-17 module that comes with this drum kit has had an update that makes it of a much higher level. The crash cymbal has also become a lot thinner, increasing the playing experience, and the hardware has become of better quality. All in all, this new set offers some considerable advantages for the future!

DIGITAL DRUM KIT IN AN ACOUSTIC JACKET

Roland has been the market leader in digital drum kits for decades, one for good reason. Their technology and ease of use makes it one of the best choices for beginners and professionals alike. Despite the convenience of a digital drum kit, the instrument's appearance has long been criticised. Roland has taken that feedback and created the new VAD series. The biggest difference compared to the TD series is, of course, the looks. The realistic toms, wooden 12‘ snare and large 18’ kick drum make the VAD307 not only beautiful to look at, but also to play on. Roland did keep the footprint of this drum kit compact, making it ideal for home use or other tight spaces. In addition, they also play very realistically thanks to the special Roland Mesh heads that can be adjusted in detail to suit your playing style.

Other models in the VAD series include the VAD507, which is a fairly comprehensive kit, and the VAD504, which is a bit more compact. So the VAD drum kits combine the best of both, incorporating the advantages of an acoustic drum kit and digital drum kit. So you have the beautiful look and sound of an acoustic kit, but the versatility, transportability, features, recording possibilities and customisability of a digital kit. So a perfect balance!

LIMITLESS POSSIBILITIES

The shells of the VAD306 are made of wood, with chrome hardware and mesh heads. The pads have a great response. The pad responds depending on how hard and where it is hit. This makes the drum kit's response incredible, just like an acoustic kit. Moreover, the drums have a dual-zone pad, triggering both the sheet and the rim. It also incorporates high-quality sensor technology, translating the beats perfectly into the sound.

So the look, sound and playing experience of the Roland VAD306 is more realistic than ever before, but what about the drum computer? Roland didn't skimp on that either. The new TD-17 version 2.0 drum computer has unprecedented capabilities with Roland adding many extra samples with the 2.0 update. This means you can use the best drum samples Roland has ever made on the VAD307. In addition, you can combine your favourite drum samples and create your own kits.

It is also possible to purchase separate pads/drums and connect them to the module to expand your kit. Moreover, the drum kit has a built-in Bluetooth connection to connect a phone or laptop. This makes it easy to stream, play along and record. This makes the VAD307 great not only for the stage, but also for the studio! In short: The Roland VAD307 is a great digital drum kit that resembles a real acoustic not only in appearance, but also in playing experience!

Please note! This drum kit is supplied without the following accessories:

Yamaha DTX432K Digital Drum Kit

Yamaha Cashback

Yamaha has a wonderful ongoing cashback promotion on this product! It works as follows:

  • Buy a qualified Yamaha instrument between 4.9.2024 and 15.1.2025.
  • Have your receipt and serial number handy and fill out the form on this page until 31.1.25: https://nl.yamaha.com/nl/support/promotions/cashback.html
  • Once your application is validated, you will receive your cashback amount via bank transfer within 35 working days.

The Yamaha DTX-432K is the digital drum kit that belongs to the entry-level series of the highly acclaimed DTX models. Compared to the cheaper DTX-402K, this drum kit features a bass drum pedal with physical beater, which greatly enhances the drumming experience! Combined with the high-quality drum sounds, full setup and modern features, the DTX-432K is a very good drum kit to start with! And all in an affordable price range, too.

Yamaha DTX-432, for all levels and ages

The Yamaha DTX432 is a drum kit suitable for all ages and all levels. Yamaha knows everything there is to know about drums and they have carried that experience through to the tuning and quality of the kits. Among other things, it is noticeable that the sensitivity of the pads is very reliable. Every movement is accurately registered and converted into a realistic sound. With the cymbals, it is even possible to mute them by hand! This makes the drum kit suitable for the beginning drummer as well as a practice set for the advanced drummer. The position and angles of the cymbals, snare and toms are therefore based on years of experience. But if desired, this can be further adjusted according to personal wishes or height. This allows even small children to get started with the DTX. It is also possible to build the drum kit in a left-handed setup.

The DTX432 features a traditional drum configuration consisting of a snare drum, three toms three cymbals, a bass drum and a hihat controller. As described earlier, the setup comes with a separate bass drum pad and bass drum pedal, providing realistic playing comfort. The included solid bass drum pedal is a favourite of many professional drummers. In the entry-level DTX series, if a little more budget is available, you can also look at the DTX-452. This kit features a better snare drum!

Modern possibilities with a DTX drum kit

Yamaha has released a special DTX app that allows you to use the DTX-432 interactively with a smartphone or tablet. The app provides a fun and easy way to get started with your electronic drum kit on both iOS and Android devices. For example, you can play along with built-in training tracks using the Challenge Mode function. When you complete the last phase, you will receive a drummer certificate from Yamaha. But there is more! You can also customise drum kits with the Editor function and easily share music with your friends and social networks via the Rec'n'Share app (iOS only).

With a USB cable you can also connect the drum kit to your computer. Audio data generated by the DTX module can be sent to the computer. Of course, you can also send MIDI signals to the computer with the drum kit, which allows you to use it as a DAW controller for music production.

Roland TD-07KV V-Drums

With the Roland TD-07KV, Roland has launched a very interesting electronic drum kit on the market. A full-fledged drum kit in a price range where Roland has never shown it before. The TD-07KV is a compact drum kit that delivers superior expression and playing comfort. All pads feature the widely acclaimed mesh heads and a new dedicated bass drum unit provides optimal pedal experience. The new module is equipped with the latest features and lets you explore creative possibilities such as creating your own personalised sounds. In short, a relatively affordable drum kit with maximum sound and playing experience for the beginner to the avid hobby drummer.

The module of the Roland TD-07KV

The Roland TD-07KV features an all-new module. The module is the heart of an electronic drum kit. In the case of the TD-07, this concerns a powerful, capable and fast module equipped with many modern features. Previously, the most affordable drum kits involved the TD-1 series where you, the drummer, had access to a number of pre-programmed drum kits with no adjustments possible. In that respect, the TD-07KV opens up a new world! More than 20 different drum kits are programmed and in total up to 50 kits can be composed. This can be done by combining sounds from different kits and then customising them entirely to your own liking. For example, the size and thickness of the cymbals can be adjusted. But from full acoustic drums to percussion instrument to the smallest details are captured, A wide range of electronic percussion is also present.

The module is also equipped with the latest features such as a Bluetooth function. This allows you to connect your drum kit to smartphone or tablet and then wirelessly play your favourite songs and drum along fanatically. Of course, it is also still possible to connect a music device via an audio cable.

Playing comfort

Playing on a digital drum kit certainly doesn't have to be any less comfortable than on an acoustic kit. Roland pioneered this with the development of their widely acclaimed mesh heads. These heads have a very realistic touch and rebound of the drumstick, making the touch similar to an acoustic kit. Another big advantage of these mesh heads is that they minimise impact noise, making them much quieter. The special new bass drum unit has special damping that drastically reduces the sound of the beater on pad without losing playing comfort.

40 free lessons

Melodics is a desktop app that connects to your V-Drums. By playing along with step-by-step lessons and tracks, you can learn new beats, build your rhythm and timing, record yourself, as well as discover where you can still improve yourself thanks to the playback function. You can (re)play the 40 free lessons indefinitely: they are free for life. But if you are ready for more, you can sign up for an unlimited number of lessons. Practice sessions no longer have to be routine. Download Melodics, plug in your TD-07KV and make your (practice) time with the kit insanely fun.

Roland TD-02KV - Digital Drum Kit

The TD-02K is a great beginner drum kit from Roland. Roland is a Japanese company that produces high-quality instruments and audio products. They are mostly known for their digital drum sets. The TD-02KV has a relatively compact stature compared to an acoustic set. Moreover, the drum kit is suitable for the drummer that needs to be as quiet as possible. Roland VAD-504 V-Drums Acoustic Design

The Roland VAD-504 is the second generation of the Roland VAD concept. VAD stands for V-Drum Acoustic Design - in short, the playing capabilities of an electronic drum kit with the look of an acoustic kit. Although its predecessor, the VAD-503, was an unprecedented success, Roland decided it was time for an update. The TD-27 module that comes with this drum kit has had an update that makes it of a much higher level. The crash cymbal has also become a lot thinner, increasing the playing experience, and the hardware has become of better quality. This new kit therefore offers some considerable advantages for the future!

THE VAD SERIES

Roland is originally a Japanese brand that has been developing drum kits for decades. As a result, they are one of the best in the market when it comes to drum kits, mainly digital drum kits. As such, they have released many digital drum kits, but there was always one disadvantage to these models, and that was the appearance. The look of their previous models was very modern, with reasonably small pads. This is perfect for some people, but many prefer the look of an acoustic model. So Roland released their VAD series. These drum kits are digital drum kits with the look of an acoustic drum kit. Although there are also differences between the different VAD drum kits, for example, the VAD306 is a touch more modern and simple than the VAD506, which again looks more authentic. So within the VAD series, there is plenty of choice.

THE VAD504

So too is the VAD504. The drums' shells are made of wood, the hardware of chrome and the skins of their typical mesh. The stands are double-reinforced to prevent damage. Roland has ensured that the skins have a great response, so they catch everything. In addition, the drums have a dual-zone pad for independent sheet and edge triggering. In addition, the drums have high-quality sensor technology, making the attack sound just like an acoustic kit.

The pads are connected to the module via USB cables. The double-layer mesh heads with adjustable tension provide an authentic playing feel, making it feel not like you are playing on a digital kit, but rather an acoustic kit. So this drum kit mimics the look, playing experience and sound of an acoustic kit. However, it also gives you the advantages of a digital drum kit. The kit is easier to transport, it is more versatile, the sound is easier to record, the volume is adjustable (headphones also possible) and it is more compact than an acoustic kit. Moreover, it is very easy to make adjustments and use separate functions with the TD-27 drum module.

You can also download/play and save your own samples. The drum kit has a built-in Bluetooth connection, so it is possible to connect a phone or laptop. It is also possible to purchase separate pads/drums and connect them to the module, to expand your kit. This module is also available in other kits, such as the TD-27KV2, if you prefer a more modern look. In short, a perfect balance between acoustic and digital drum kits!

Despite the convenience of a digital drum kit, its appearance has long been criticised. As a result, Roland has created the new VAD series. The biggest difference compared to their original TD series is, of course, the appearance. The 14‘ stainless steel snare, the 14’ floor tom, the 20‘ kick plus the 10’ and 12’ rack toms all look very realistic. In addition, they also play very realistically thanks to the special Roland Mesh heads that can be adjusted in detail to suit your playing style.

This kit can be compared to other VAD drum kits, such as the VAD504 and the VAD307. All these kits are incredibly good, but there are small differences between them. For instance, the VAD307 has a different module from the VAD507 and VAD504. Between the VAD507 and the VAD504, the differences are mainly in the amount of drums and cymbals. The VAD507 is more comprehensive. So there is plenty of choice within the VAD series.

THE VAD507

The drums of the VAD507 are made of wooden shells, chrome hardware and the skins are made of double-layer mesh. The chrome stands are also double-reinforced. The drums also feature high-quality sensor technology, ensuring that every attack is perfectly captured, regardless of how hard it is struck and where it is struck. This, in turn, is enhanced by the dual-zone pads, giving the pads independent sheet and rim triggers.

So the looks and playing experience are fine, but what about the drum module? The brand new TD-27 drum machine has exactly the same sounds as the hugely popular TD-50 drum computer. This means you can use the best drum samples Roland has ever made on the VAD507, as well as on the VAD504. The drum module has many built-in functions. You can combine your favourite drum samples and create your own kits. You can even download your own samples, and stack them as an extra layer on top of the internal sounds to personalise your sound even more. In addition, the module has a built-in Bluetooth connection, making it easy to connect to a laptop or phone. This way, streaming, recording and playing along becomes very simple. This makes the VAD507 ideal for the stage and studio.

In short: all the benefits of an acoustic kit are combined with all the advantages of a digital kit. So you have the look and sound of an acoustic kit, but the versatility, recordability, transportability and adaptability of a digital kit. So a great choice!

Roland TD-17KV2 V-Drums

With the purchase of a TD-17, you now get a DW2000 Kick Pedal for free. The promotion runs until 31 March and also applies to online purchases, so don't hesitate if you want to take advantage of it. Read more about it here.

The Roland TD-17KV2 builds on the world's best-selling drum kit of recent years, the TD-17KV. This drum kit is suitable from enthusiastic beginner to practice drum kit for the semi-professional player.

The Roland TD-17KV is the perfect drum kit for drummers looking for electronic percussion that offers a realistic and authentic playing feel but still remains affordable in terms of price. The module has undergone a major upgrade which means the KV2 version boasts over 70 high-quality kits available including 20 all-new kits made from all-new samples. In terms of construction, this high-quality TD-17KV2 features four mesh heads, an invention previously patented by Roland. Where the patent has now expired, Roland's technology and development lead remains intact, and this is proven with the new PDX-12 snare drum. This newly developed pad is 12 inches in size which makes it not much inferior in size to a regular acoustic snare drum. High-quality materials and a newly developed rim make drumming even more realistic and allow you to realise all drumming techniques without having to compromise.

The TD-17KV is equipped with three cymbals, a 10-inch hi-hat and a 12-inch crash and ride cymbal. The crash and ride are of course the new ‘thin’ version for an even better playing experience. These dual-zone cymbals feature two triggers for optimum dynamics. Do you prefer multiple and larger cymbals? Then check out the more extensive TD-17KVX2. The KD-10 bass drum unit is suitable for use with any type of bass drum pedal. If desired, it is even possible to play it with a double pedal!

The Roland TD-17KV2 kit consists of the following parts:

  • 1x TD-17 Version 2.0 sound module
  • 1x PDX-12 Snare drum
  • 3x PD-8 Tom
  • 1x CY-5 Hi-hat

Roland VAD716-SW - Satin Walnut

Roland

Roland is a Japanese company created in Osaka in 1972 by Ikutaro Kakehashi. They produced high-quality and innovative rhythm machines, quickly followed by synthesizers and digital pianos, which made them one of the market leaders for electronic musical instruments within no time. Kakehashi subsequently created the subsidiary Boss in 1973, which focuses on the bass and guitar aspects of digital music. Roland’s philosophy is that music is an integral aspect of life, considered an almost magical part that brings us more humanity. It’s clearly important for Roland that they can guarantee the best quality. Furthermore, their slogan is ‘We Design The Future Together.’ Although they acknowledge their part in music history, they want to predominantly focus on the future. With this slogan they constantly remind themselves that ambition and innovation are vital and that they’ll prioritise their promise of constant quality development and an increase of quality with every new product.

The V-Drums 7 Series

As a result of this promise, Roland has developed the V-Drums 7 Series. With this series, they have elevated their popular digital drum kits to an even higher level. The kits in the series contain a new and improved sound module, even more sensitive pads, and more authentic sounds. You can also connect your smartphone to the V71 module wirelessly, so you’ll have easy access to the Roland Cloud Connect with which you can alter your sounds and kits easily. This also means that you’ll always have access to the constantly growing Roland library, including new instrument expansions and new kits. The library already contains very realistic recordings of the best drum kits across the world, so the V71 can produce insanely authentic and detailed sounds. These amazing drum kits were also recorded with a 32-bit/192 kHz resolution in the best studios around the world. You can, of course, add your own sounds to your library. Additionally, you can easily record your playing by connecting the module to your DAW with a MIDI cable. The series contains two TD-type drum kits, like the original Roland digital drum kits, a VAD version, which looks and feels like an acoustic set, and the V71 module is also available separately if you want to use it with your own set.

The VAD716

The VAD716 is a digital drum kit with an acoustic design. This makes it easier to get into the ride vibe while playing. The set contains the newest and best pads. The PD-14SX snare pad contains improved snare technology, which makes the sound more detailed, a snare throw-off handle, and a snare tension knob. Moreover, the set includes an expressive and compact kick pad, two tom pads, two floor toms, two V-Cymbals, a very popular digital hi-hat, a ride pad, and the sturdy frame. The toms have new sensor systems that make the response of the pads even better and more streamlined. The kit includes the KD-22 kick pad, which has a completely wooden body and a high-quality sensor.

Keep in mind that the kit itself isn’t ready to play. The stand for the hi-hat, cymbals, and pads, the kick pedal, snare stand, drum mat, and stool are sold separately.

The Yamaha DTX452 is the ideal drum kit for the starting drummer looking for maximum drumming experience in an affordable price range. Years of experience in creating authentic drum sounds lead to 10 high-quality built-in drum kits. From acoustic effects to electronic sounds, everything is there to find your perfect sound. A plus to this drum kit, compared to the cheaper DTX402 and DTX432, is the configuration that uses a real bass drum pedal and the more sensitive snare drum. The experience and feel of a physical beater hitting the bass drum pad is many times more realistic than an electronic bass drum controller and is guaranteed to have a very positive effect on your drumming skills!

Yamaha DTX452, for all levels and ages

The Yamaha DTX452 is a drum kit suitable for all ages and levels. This makes the drum kit suitable for the beginning drummer but also as a practice set for the professional. The position and angles of the cymbals, snare and toms are based on years of experience. If desired, this can be further adjusted according to personal wishes or height. This allows even small children to play on the DTX. It is also possible to build the drum kit in a left-handed setup.

The DTX452 features a traditional drum configuration consisting of a snare drum, three toms, three cymbals, a bass drum and a hihat controller. As previously described, the setup comes with a separate bass drum pad and bass drum pedal, providing realistic playing comfort. The included solid bass drum pedal is the favourite of many professional drummers. Another advantage with the DTX452 is the better snare drum. This pad is triggered on three zones, allowing more variation and expression to be applied. Especially for a beginning drummer this is an added value as the snare is one of the most used pads. Should this kit be above your budget, you can also look at the slightly simpler DTX-402 or DTX-432.

Modern possibilities with a DTX drum kit

Yamaha has released a special DTX app, which allows you to use the DTX-452 interactively with a smartphone or tablet. The app provides a fun and easy way to get started with your electronic drum kit with both iOS and Android devices. For example, the Challenge Mode function lets you play along with built-in training tracks. If you complete the last phase, you will receive a drummer's certificate from Yamaha. But more is possible! Namely, you can also customise drum kits with the Editor function and it is also possible to easily share music with your friends and social networks via the Rec'n'Share app (iOS only).

With a USB cable, you can also connect the drum kit to your computer. Audio data generated by the DTX-Module can thus be sent to the computer. Of course, you can also use the drum kit to send midi signals to the computer with which you can use it as a DAW Controller for music production.

Yamaha DD-75 - Digital Percussion Pad

Percussion and drum pad

The DD-75 is a handy drum pad from Yamaha. It is not just another percussion pad, as the pad mimics a complete drum kit. At the top are eight touch-sensitive pads arranged in the same way as a drum kit. The pad even comes with two assignable pedals and two wooden sticks. The set sounds under the pads also sound acoustic. However, you can also choose from a variety of voices and kits, including multiple acoustic kits, drum machines and electronic drum kits. For percussionists who are not fans of drum kits, the pads are also suitable for playing by hand. The pads will respond just as well and the also include several percussion sounds for the most authentic experience and sound possible. Although the pads have a fine sensitivity level, they are also individually adjustable. So you can adjust the sensitivity of one pad and not the rest. This also applies to the sounds. All sounds are individually adjustable, allowing you to use your favourite sounds at the same time.

Advantages of digital playing

If authenticity is so important, why not a real drum kit or percussion instrument? A digital instrument has many advantages over an acoustic instrument. For example, this pad is the ideal purchase for the drummer who likes to practise in silence. This is because you can connect headphones to the pad and the physical attack is muted by the pads. You can also practise at a low volume, which can be adjusted with the volume control. Moreover, you can also play along with background music more easily. In fact, you can connect your phone to the pad via the AUX. Recording also becomes easier. Instead of adjusting and mixing multiple microphones, this pad only requires you to turn on the ‘record’ function. The system can remember up to five songs at the same time.

In addition, this pad is generally lighter and more compact than a drum kit or percussion instruments, making it easy to transport. Another advantage of a digital instrument, is that you have multiple instruments in one. For example, the DD-75 has many different drum kits and percussion sounds. An acoustic instrument only comes with one sound, so with the pad you invest in multiple instruments. Lastly, the pad also runs on batteries, so it can be used anywhere.

Yamaha DTX6K2-X Digital Drum Kit

The DTX6K2-X is a great electric drum kit with excellent value for money. Why an electric drum kit instead of an acoustic drum kit? Electric drum sets take up less space, they are versatile to use, you can play with headphones, the volume is adjustable, and the mixer gives you lots of playing options. Yamaha electric drum sets, in particular, are silent. This is because Yamaha uses rubber for their pads, making the touch itself sound softer. In addition, the module also has more than 400 samples, which you can easily play along with. This drum kit comes with a snare pad, two tom pads, a floor tom pad, bass drum pad, a hi-hat pad, two crash cymbal pads, a ride pad, and a hi-hat stand. The module that comes with it also makes it possible to create a unique sound. Above all, Yamaha is known for delivering quality instruments, which this drum kit certainly falls under. In short, this kit is a great choice for any drummer!

Are you looking for a digital drum set that doesn’t produce external sounds? In that case, we can introduce you to the most silent drum kit in the world: the VQD106! An important advantage of digital drums is that you can play with headphones, which means you won’t produce the insane amount of noise an acoustic set makes. However, digital drums can produce some external sounds that can be bothersome for neighbours or housemates: hitting rubber pads with wooden sticks can produce a pretty loud sound, the metal stand can cause vibrations on the floor, and the pedals can cause extra droning sounds. Consequently, Roland has produced an extra quiet digital drum set after years of research, with a sound decrease of 75%. The pads of the VQD106 are made of sound-absorbing materials so you can hit it with vigour without it producing any extra sounds. Fortunately, this doesn’t decrease the quality of the drum kit, the pads are still very sensitive and have high-quality sensors so the digital sound will sound very authentic. Furthermore, the drum kit includes two pedal bases which will catch all the vibrations the pedals will cause and will prevent it from reaching the floor. The bases and the stand contain soft rubber feet which will prevent damage to your floor and any droning sounds.

Keep in mind: the kick pedal and the drum throne are not included and are sold separately.
