Yamaha DTX452, for all levels and ages

The Yamaha DTX452 is a drum kit suitable for all ages and levels. Yamaha knows everything there is to know about drums and they have carried that experience through to the tuning and quality of the kits. Among other things, it is noticeable that the sensitivity of the pads is very reliable. Every movement is accurately registered and converted into a realistic sound. With the cymbals, it is even possible to mute them by hand! This makes the drum kit suitable for the beginning drummer but also as a practice set for the professional. The position and angles of the cymbals, snare and toms are based on years of experience. If desired, this can be further adjusted according to personal wishes or height. This allows even small children to play on the DTX. It is also possible to build the drum kit in a left-handed setup.

The DTX452 features a traditional drum configuration consisting of a snare drum, three toms, three cymbals, a bass drum and a hihat controller. As previously described, the setup comes with a separate bass drum pad and bass drum pedal, providing realistic playing comfort. The included solid bass drum pedal is the favourite of many professional drummers. Another advantage with the DTX452 is the better snare drum. This pad is triggered on three zones, allowing more variation and expression to be applied. Especially for a beginning drummer this is an added value as the snare is one of the most used pads. Should this kit be above your budget, you can also look at the slightly simpler DTX-402 or DTX-432.

Modern possibilities with a DTX drum kit

Yamaha has released a special DTX app, which allows you to use the DTX-452 interactively with a smartphone or tablet. The app provides a fun and easy way to get started with your electronic drum kit with both iOS and Android devices. For example, the Challenge Mode function lets you play along with built-in training tracks. If you complete the last phase, you will receive a drummer's certificate from Yamaha. But more is possible! Namely, you can also customise drum kits with the Editor function and it is also possible to easily share music with your friends and social networks via the Rec'n'Share app (iOS only).

With a USB cable, you can also connect the drum kit to your computer. Audio data generated by the DTX-Module can thus be sent to the computer. Of course, you can also use the drum kit to send midi signals to the computer with which you can use it as a DAW Controller for music production.
