75th Anniversary
2021 is an important year for Fender, because it’s their 75th anniversary! Clarence Leonidas ‘Leo’ Fender founded the company in 1946 with his first model: the Esquire, which has since been slightly altered and is known as the Telecaster. Less than a decade later, het designed his other legendary guitar: the Stratocaster. It is thus not surprising that Fender is one of the most popular guitar brands. Throughout the decades Fender has designed a few other models, but nothing reached the same legendary status as the Stratocaster and Telecaster. Consequently, these two models were chosen to be Fender’s Anniversary Limited Edition guitars!
Materials
The 75th Anniversary Telecaster has 22 medium sizes frets. The neck is made of maple and has a satin finish, which makes it incredibly comfortable to play. The guitar has a ‘diamond’ colour, which is a light greyish colour with a shiny finish. The body is made of alder, which is a common material Fender uses for their Telecasters. The guitar has a matching headstock, which also makes it look more luxurious.
Sound
The 75th Anniversary Telecaster has two Vintage-Style ‘50s Single-Coil Telecaster pickups. These pickups have that typical warm and twangy sound that Telecasters are known for. This is very typical of a Telecaster, because they have a very noticeably bright sound. Consequently, the guitar is amazing for solos and riffs. The pickups can be adjusted with the three way switch, the volume knob and the tone knob. The controls are thus very simple to use. The 75th Anniversary Telecaster is thus a great guitar and the ideal chance to own a Fender limited edition model!
