Fender
Fender is an American company which was founded in 1946 by Leo Fender. The company is known for their solid body electric guitars and was the first to sell these guitars. Their first guitar was the Telecaster, which became very popular. This model was followed up with the equally popular Stratocaster and the Fender Bass. Throughout the decades they have designed more popular shapes which explains their current popularity quite well. Additionally, Fender prioritises quality. It is thus not surprising that their guitars are used by many famous guitarists, like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour.
The Vintera ‘50s Telecaster
The Vintera ‘50s Telecaster is part of Fender’s Vintera series. With this series they try to recreate their vintage models with modern techniques. This guitar is based on the first version of the Telecaster, which was released in the 1950s. The Vintera model looks like this model and has a ‘50s neck profile and bridge. With the two Vintage-Style ‘50s single coil pickups the guitar also sounds vintage. However, they are more versatile than the original pickups, because they can also produce a range of other sounds and don’t have the same feedback problem. The pickups can be adjusted with the three-way switch, the volume knob, and the tone knob, just like with the original Telecaster. The guitar has a maple body, which is very rigid and produces a bright sound. The fretboard and the neck are also made of maple, and are very comfortable to play. The guitar will be delivered with a soft bag. The Vintera ‘50s Telecaster is thus the ideal possibility to purchase a vintage-inspired Telecaster for a decent price!
