Yamaha
Yamaha was founded in 1887 by Torakusu Yamaha in Japan when he made his first acoustic organ. Yamaha was very passionate and quickly after started making pianos, which made him the first person in Japan to make pianos. Progression and innovation are clearly present in his production process. Throughout the last 150 years the company has expanded and produces many different types of instruments and they continue to improve and expand their production. The innovation Torakusu Yamaha had is still present in Yamaha’s instruments.
De FGDP-50
De FGDP-50 is a handy finger drum pad with an ergonomic layout. This means that you can play for a long time without getting a muscle ache. Yamaha advises you to use their 3-fingerstyle whilst using the pad, this means that you use the kickdrum with your thumb, the hihat with your middle finger, and the snare with your index finger. However, you can change the voices assigned to the individual pads. Furthermore, the pads are also ultra sensitive so the sound will also be ultra authentic. The pad has a tone generator and more than 1500 professionally recorded samples. As such, you can produce digital sounds that aren’t distinguishable from acoustic sounds. These samples were recorded by professional artists and contain sounds for all genres. You can also add effects to your sounds, like tuning and decay. The FGDP-50 has an internal speaker and a chargeable battery so you can use the pad everywhere.
