New from Kala: The Voyage Collection
Designs with a story
Sam is known for the art he applies to guitars and ukuleles, among other things. At the age of fifteen he became fascinated with Tā Moko, and that fascination led to carving Moko patterns on ukuleles and guitars. This art, originally from New Zealand, tells a story about the person tattooed with it. In the same way, Sam aims to let ukuleles tell their own story. He now has over 450 designs to his name, and within this collection each ukulele comes with a card that tells the unique story behind the model.
Symbols for important values
Tā Moko consists of different drawings that symbolize different values. Sam focuses most on courage, unity and guidance (culturally speaking, for example from ancestors or gods). The Voyage collection represents the journey of life, and these symbols are reflected in the designs.
Each ukulele comes with a gig bag, so you can easily take it with you. This beautiful but affordable collection has a good price-quality ratio and we are proud to be a dealer of it!
