The new Martin E1 preamp is now available on selected models!

Martin has developed their own preamp: the Martin E1! This is a handy preamp that can mainly be found on most newer X Series, 16 Series and Road Series models. The new D-15E also features the new device.

With the E1 you can be happy because the preamp ensures that your acoustic sound is amplified as authentically as possible. As a result, the amplified sound is still very dynamic, deep and warm. This makes guitars with the E1 also very suitable for performances and recordings.

The E1 is also versatile and easy to use. It has a built-in chromatic tuner. Switching on the tuner also switches off the output, so you can tune quietly without amplifying your sound. The tuner also works when you are not plugged in. You can also adjust the type of sound you produce with the Tone control. Next to the Tone and Tuning control is the Volume and Phase control. This knob adjusts the volume, and by pressing it you can invert the phase to reduce feedback and produce a deeper sound. The controls are neatly hidden in the body, making the guitar look clean and professional. On the back of the guitar you can change the battery (9 volts).
