Eastman

Eastman was founded in 1992 by Qian Ni, a Chinese musician who had moved to America. He realised there were few professional instruments available at the time, which is why he decided to start his own company. Quality is still Eastman’s priority. Every instrument is made by hand and goes through an extensive process to ensure that the instruments will stand the test of time and can be used quite intensively.

Thermo Cured Wood

Eastman has developed thermo cured guitars. This means that the top of the body has been stored at really high temperatures so unnecessary coatings can be removed and the wood has already aged when it is installed on the guitar. This may not seem great, because why would anyone want to buy an old guitar? It’s actually quite simple; aged guitars have a larger range of tones and will sound a lot fuller and rich. Furthermore, thermo cured wood is better able to withstand temperature changes and humidity, which means it’s more reliable than a regular guitar.

The E16SS-TC-LTD

The E16SS-TC-LTD is also made of good materials. The top of the body is made of Adirondack spruce, which produces a beautiful and warm sound. The back and sides are made of maple. Maple produces a bright sound with powerful projection. Furthermore, the maple has a ‘birdseye’ pattern, which gives the guitar a unique and beautiful appearance. This guitar is also a dreadnought, which is the most popular guitar on the market today. Dreadnoughts are very suited for rhythm guitar, but can also be used for fingerpicking.
