He realised there were few professional instruments available at the time, which is why he decided to start his own company. Quality is still Eastman’s priority. Every instrument is made by hand and goes through an extensive process to ensure that the instruments will stand the test of time and can be used quite intensively

Thinlines

The Eastman Romeo California is the new thinline guitar by Eastman. Thinline guitars are part of the hollow body guitars. Hollow body guitars are electric guitars with a soundboard. The vibrations of the strings resonate in inside the body, after which the resonance is caught and translated by the pickups. This process creates a very unique sound which cannot be replicated by other types of guitars. However, the sound can differ depending on the tonewood and the pickups. The combination between these factors is vital, and hollow body guitars will often sound amazing with P90s or humbuckers as they produce a vintage-y sound. Yet, thinlines work a bit different. They do have a soundboard, but they are a lot thinner. This prevents feedback and improves your playing experience. Furthermore, the wood plays a larger role in the sound of the guitar, which makes the sound more authentic and warmer. Thinline guitars are thus great for any guitar player, but especially those looking for a vintage sound.

The Eastman Romeo California

The Romeo California is a sequel to the Romeo LA. The Romeo LA turned out to be such a great and innovative product by Eastman that they have now produced two sequels: the Romeo NYC and the Romeo California. Like the name insinuates, these guitars are inspired by these locations. The Romeo California has a beautiful red/goldburst colour, inspired by the iconic coastline of this American state. The top of the body is made of laminated maple and the guitar has laminated mahogany back and sides. This is a great combination that produces a powerful and bright sound. The guitar has an ebony fretboard and a maple neck, which results in a comfortable playing experience. Furthermore, the Romeo California has two Bare Knuckle Old Guard humbuckers. These humbuckers produce a warm, bright and dynamic sound.
