Fender
Fender was founded in 1946 by Clarence Leonidas ‘Leo’ Fender. Their first guitar, the Telecaster, became a huge success, and they started producing other similarly popular models, like the Stratocaster and the Precision Bass. Nowadays Fender has a huge assortment of different basses and guitars, with different sounds, colours, and prices, so that they have something for everyone. Consequently, they remain one of the most popular guitar brands today!
The Paramount Series
The Paramount Series is a great series by Fender that produces more classic western guitars. They are specifically inspired by acoustic guitars from the 1930s and 1940s. The series contains three different semi-acoustic western guitars. The appearance of the guitars is also clearly derived from the past, as is obvious by the snowflake inlay on the fretboard and the rosette and binding.
The PS-220E
The PS-220E is a good parlor guitar. The parlor guitar is relatively old and was usually played solo or with a small group of people. The small size of the body meant the sound wasn’t very loud, which was ideal back then. However, when louder music became popular the parlor guitar wasn’t loud enough anymore. Nevertheless, with modern technology the parlor guitar is louder than ever and it’s becoming increasingly more popular again. The top of the guitar is made of solid spruce for a beautifully warm sound. The guitar has solid mahogany back and sides for great projection.
