Fender
Fender is an American company which was founded in 1946 by Leo Fender. The company is known for their solid body electric guitars and was the first to sell these guitars. Their first guitar was the Telecaster, which became very popular. This model was followed up with the equally popular Stratocaster and the Fender Bass. Throughout the decades they have designed more popular shapes which explains their current popularity quite well. Additionally, Fender prioritises quality. It is thus not surprising that their guitars are used by many famous guitarists, like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour.
The Vintera ‘60s Stratocaster
The Vintera ‘60s Stratocaster is part of Fender’s Vintera series. In this series Fender combines their vintage models with modern technology. This model is based on the 1960s Stratocaster, which is known as Fender’s ‘Golden Age’. The guitar has all the aspects of a ‘60s Strat, like the tuners and the neck profile. Fender also used vintage colours for the Vintera guitars, which is why this model has a beautiful light blue colour. The guitar has three Vintage Style ‘60s single coil pickups, which can recreate the typical vintage sound the ‘60s Strat is known for. The pickups can be adjusted with the five-way switch, the volume knob, and the two tone knobs, just like the vintage Stratocaster. The body of the guitar is made of alder and has a maple neck with a pau ferro fretboard. The guitar will be delivered with a soft bag. The Vintera ‘60s Stratocaster is thus the ideal opportunity for the musicians that wants a vintage guitar without the price and maintenance of an actual vintage instrument!
