Fender
Fender is an American company which was founded in 1946 by Leo Fender. The company is known for their solid body electric guitars and was the first to sell these guitars. Their first guitar was the Telecaster, which became very popular. This model was followed up with the equally popular Stratocaster and the Fender Bass. Throughout the decades they have designed more popular shapes which explains their current popularity quite well. Additionally, Fender prioritises quality. It is thus not surprising that their guitars are used by many famous guitarists, like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour.
The Vintera ‘60s Telecaster Modified
The Vintera ‘60s Telecaster Modified is part of Fender’s Vintera series. With this series, Fender’s vintage models are recreated with modern building techniques. This guitar is based on the 1960s version of the Telecaster, which is an era known as Fender’s ‘Golden Age’. The guitar looks vintage with the vintage hardware and with the beautiful Lake Placid Blue colour. The guitar has two single coil pickups, just like the 1960s Telecaster, but they have a hotter output. This means the guitar has a little more twang than the original one. The fretboard was also modernised and has a 9.5” radius. The Vintera ‘60s Telecaster is the ideal guitar for the guitar player who wanted a vintage Telecaster with a twangy sound.
