The ES-520 is a high-quality digital piano from Kawai. The piano has 88 semi-weighted keys. This means that the keys feel just like the keys of an acoustic piano. In an acoustic piano, the strings are struck with a hammer, which causes the keys to have a certain weight and become heavier as the tone gets lower. Kawai has recreated this with the 'Authentic Responsive Hammer Compact II' system. Thus, it is also the ideal piano for the pianist who plays acoustic or the pianist who wants to work his way up to acoustic pianos. In addition, the keys have a matte finish, which means that they are not slippery and play very nice.
THE SOUNDS OF THE ES-520
In addition, the ES-520 has great sounds. Kawai has taken the SK-EX, one of their most popular grand pianos, and incorporated it into the ES-520. This allows you to experience acoustic sounds from a digital piano. In addition, they also recorded their EX grand concert piano. However, the piano has a wide range of sounds. In addition to the grand pianos, it is also possible to use digital piano sounds, jazz sounds, guitars, bass guitars, organs, and much more. This makes it a very versatile instrument. Moreover, it is possible to use nuance within the different sounds. The piano registers how you strike the keys, which translates into the sound. This makes it very easy to play pianissimo or fortissimo, for example, and thus add dynamism and emotion to your sound.
CONNECTIVITY
The piano has a Bluetooth and MIDI connection, allowing you to connect other devices to your piano. This way you can easily play along with background music. In addition, it is possible to connect headphones to the piano. Kawai has made sure that the headphone sound is as deep and spacious as the sound of the piano itself, so that you can experience the authentic sound even with headphones. The piano comes with a pedal. In short, a very good digital piano for a great price!
