The piano is equipped with the Kawai Anytime ATX4 Silent System. This system makes it possible to completely mute the acoustic part and play the piano with the headphones while still enjoying the feel of a real piano. Kawai has provided their silent system with the sound of their well-known SK-EX concert grand piano. The digital sound generator combines multi-channel sampling technology with advanced modeling technology to deliver highly realistic sound reproduction. This has been done so well that if you close your eyes and play digitally behind your piano it will feel like you are playing a real grand piano. In addition, you have two other piano sounds and a varied group of other sounds such as organs and strings at your disposal. The playing feel remains so realistic because sensors detect the movement of the hammers very precisely. This allows the full range of expression from a pianissimo to a fortissimo to be played.

Operation of the silent system

The operation of the silent system can be called very progressive. The panel on the left side of the keyboard has been transformed into a color LCD touchscreen. You can easily select sounds or make adjustments to the sound. Good to know is that the system is equipped with a built-in metronome and a recording function.
