Line 6
Line 6 is a guitar company that was founded in 1996 in California. In 1996 they produced the first modelling amp in the world, the AxSys 212. They focussed mostly on modelling techniques with amps and effect pedals. Furthermore, they prioritise versatility, which means their technology contains many different types of modelling and sounds. Additionally, they played an important role in the improvement and availability of digital recording. In 2014 Line 6 was bought by the popular Japanese company Yamaha. Yamaha is a huge company that produces many different types of instruments and audio products. Consequently, Line 6 didn’t just grow, it also became available worldwide. Moreover, Yamaha prioritises innovation and creativity, which means their subsidiary Line 6 still strives to produce the best and newest products.
The DL4 MkII
The DL4 MkII is a great delay modelling pedal. This version is the successor of the popular DL4. The DL4 MkII has 15 new MkII delay sounds sourced from their popular Helix technology. The pedal can do way more than just delay effects, including a built-in looper and you can save recorded sounds. Do you want to use a microphone? No problem! With the XLR input you can connect a microphone directly to the system. The pedal has four switches: A, B, C, and TAP. With the TAP switch you can indicate the tempo of the delay. With the A, B, and C switches you can switch to three different presets. If you’re using the loop function the A switch becomes the dub switch, the B switch the play and stop switch, and the C switch the play once switch. Do you want more options? No worries! You can connect an expression pedal or a footswitch, or two footswitches, to the system!
