The X-Series

The X-Series is Martin’s attempt to produce the ultimate versatile guitars. The guitars are extra sturdy and durable. Martin has developed these guitars for situations like the beach, round the campfire, or in the train. The guitars are based on popular models by Martin, but they are priced lower but are still high-quality. The Remastered X-Series guitars have a slimmer bevelled neck, Martin E-1 electronics (if they have electronics), and new tonewoods. The guitars are available in different shapes, colours, materials, and a bag is included.

The D-X1

The D-X1 is a beautiful guitar. The entire body of the guitar is made of HPL. HPL consists of multiple layers of wood fibre that are pressed together at a high temperature. This creates a very thin but very sturdy plank. During this process, the plank will be drenched with resin, which makes it impenetrable, even to light and moisture. HPL guitars are thus resistant to climate, which makes them ideal for very humid and very dry climates. The guitar has a Richlite fretboard. Richlite consists of a combination of wood fibres and resin. This creates a sort of plastic, but it’s not noticeable. Richlite feels almost the same as mahogany or rosewood. Furthermore, Richlite is a lot more sustainable and doesn’t have to be maintained as it doesn’t have to be cleaned or conditioned. The guitar has a Dreadnought shape. This is the most popular guitar shape on the market. The rectangle-like body will produce a deep resonance and thus a loud sound. It’s considered the best rhythm guitar.
