The Nord Lead A1 is an amazing synthesizer from the popular brand Nord. The synthesizer has a classic layout with an easy-to-use interface. Consequently, you can easily and quickly produce unique sounds and come up with even more inspiration. Furthermore, the system has an analogue modelling engine that can produce ultra-realistic and dynamic sounds. The Lead A1 also has interesting split and layer options. For example, you can split the keyboard in two and play two synthesizers simultaneously, or you can layer different recordings over your playing. Do you want to control multiple parameters at the same time? No problem, you can use the Morph function with the Mod Wheel or a pedal. Hold the Morph button and adjust the desired knob.

Effects

The Lead A1 has moreover amazing effects, including the brand-new analogue Ensemble and Chorus. Of course, you still have access to the amazing Ring Modulation, Phaser, Flanger, Drive, Delay, and Reverb. The synthesizer also has a new oscillator with which you have access to 47 different waveforms, from classic analogue to digital harmonic waves. Furthermore, programming the oscillator has become easier and quicker. Do you want to edit the sound even more? Try a filter! The system contains frequency filters that give the sound a completely different character. Choose between Low Pass, High Pass, and Band Pass filters that flexibly and authentically alter the character of the sound. If you have achieved a perfect sound you can save it as a preset, making it easy to find in the future!

Connections

The Lead A1 has two pedal outputs, one for a sustain pedal and one for an expression pedal. Furthermore, you can connect headphones to the synthesizer with a 6.35mm jack plug for if you want to play in private. All four of the synthesizer machines have their own 6.35mm audio outputs. Moreover, the system has MIDI-in/out with 5-pin DIN connectors and a USB output that can also be used as a MIDI connection.
