SML Paris CH40F-II
The CH40F-II is a French horn made for the youngest players among us. This is partly due to the smaller size, better grip and handling. A simple entry-level model to be able to grow well. The mouthpiece has the standard size, so the blowing technique does not change when you switch. Incidentally, with all the rumors, the horn is no more difficult to play than other brass instruments. Horn is played with one hand, the left hand plays the pallets. The right hand supports the instrument by holding it in the cup like a fist. A horn can easily weigh 3 kg. Fortunately, a solution has been devised for tired arms, for example, some use a horn rest. Still, playing the horn is definitely worth it, the sound of the instrument is unique and warm with crystal clear highs.
The horn is the alto of the brass instruments. The tone is somewhere between trumpet and trombone and is the softest of all brass instruments. The horn is perhaps the most versatile of all brass instruments. In orchestra he is the link between brass and woodwinds, and in chamber music and ensemble orchestral repertoire combines woodwinds, piano, brass and strings. You can use it in symphony orchestras, concert bands, brass instruments... The horn is also a popular instrument in film music, think of "Jurassic Park" and "The Rock". The horn has been used since the Baroque. The predecessor of the modern horn had no valve and the sound was formed with the right hand in the bell. This explains why we keep our hands in the cup to this day.
To ensure that it is delivered in perfect condition, we check and adjust it before shipping. This way it is immediately ready for use upon receipt.
Comes in a soft case including standard mouthpiece.
