Taylor
Taylor is an American company that was founded in 1974 when two boys bought an old hippie guitar shop. The boys were very passionate about guitars and put a lot of energy into the shop. Eventually, the shop evolved into an international company. All Taylor guitars today are made in either El Cajon in California or Tecate in Mexico. Taylor is very proud of this, because guitars that are produced close to headquarters go through a more thorough quality control process and employee satisfaction is better regulated. Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. All guitars are perfected and with modern luthier techniques the guitars can be made with more precision and consistency.
The 200 Series
The 200 series contains versatile guitars for beginners and players with a lower budget. The guitars are reliable and have a rich sound. All guitars have solid tops for better projection and clarity. The series contains different tonewoods and models. Furthermore, the series also has classical and twelve-string guitars. All guitars within the series have a comfortable and sleek Taylor neck and electronics so they can be amplified.
The 214ce DLX
The 214ce DLX is a unique guitar. The body has a solid spruce top and laminated rosewood back and sides. This produces a balanced and warm sound. The guitar has a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. The guitar has a Grand Auditorium body, which was designed by Taylor in 1994 and is their most popular model. The Grand Auditorium is a bit smaller than the Dreadnought and a bit bigger than the Grand Concert. This also makes it more versatile, as the Dreadnought was designed for rhythm guitar and the Grand Concert for fingerpicking. The Grand Auditorium is a combination of both. The guitar has ES2 electronics so the amplified sound will sound authentic.
