Taylor
Taylor is an American company that was founded in 1974 when two boys bought an old hippie guitar shop. The boys were very passionate about guitars and put a lot of energy into the shop. Eventually, the shop evolved into an international company. All Taylor guitars today are made in either El Cajon in California or Tecate in Mexico. Taylor is very proud of this, because guitars that are produced close to headquarters go through a more thorough quality control process and employee satisfaction is better regulated. Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. All guitars are perfected and with modern luthier techniques the guitars can be made with more precision and consistency.
The 300 Series
The 300 series contains versatile guitars. There are two options within the series: guitars made of sapele and spruce and guitars made of blackwood and mahogany. All steel string guitars in the series have V-Class bracing, which will produce a louder volume and a longer sustain. Furthermore, the series has a large selection of guitar shapes and also 12-string and classical guitars. This makes the series very utilitarian.
The 314ce LTD 50th Anniversary
The 314ce is not only a great guitar, but it’s also the result of Taylor’s 50th anniversary! The body has a solid spruce top and solid sapele back and sides. This produces a warm and bright sound. The guitar has a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. Furthermore, the guitar has a Grand Auditorium body, which was designed by Taylor in 1994 and is their most popular model. The Grand Auditorium is a bit smaller than the Dreadnought and a bit bigger than the Grand Concert. This also makes it more versatile, as the Dreadnought was designed for rhythm guitar and the Grand Concert for fingerpicking. The Grand Auditorium is a combination of both. The guitar has ES2 electronics so the amplified sound will sound authentic.
