Sounds of the Chorum S40

The Viscount Chorum S40 organ features beautiful sounds generated by the patented ARTEM technology. This technology, developed in-house by Viscount, is controlled by a powerful sound generator, which is provided with sampled sounds. These samples provide reproduced authentic sounds from the world's best pipe organ builders. You can easily select different organ styles.

The environment is an important factor in the formation of the organ sound. To simulate different environments, Viscount has implemented the organ with eight different modeling programs. These programs determine the amount of reverberation of a particular sound. This function allows you to sound the organ whether you are playing in a small chapel or in a large cathedral.

In order to project the sounds optimally, it is important that a high-quality audio system is built in. Viscount has designed a system especially for the Chorum 20 that gives you a big and robust sound. The organ contains five loudspeakers driven by a 3-channel amplifier system. This system contains two 60-watt amplifiers and one 100-watt amplifier.

Keyboard and furniture

In addition to the beautiful sounds, it is of course important that the organ is pleasant to play and looks good. The organ is equipped with two “Tracker Action” keyboards. To guarantee the best playing feel, the keyboards are composed with great care and from the best components. When using midi or orchestral tunings, the keys are instantly velocity sensitive, allowing you to play with plenty of expression. It is possible to order the organ with wooden keyboards at an additional cost.

The furniture shows the splendor of Italian craftsmanship. The organ is very elegantly finished and has an included music stand and chic bench. The roller shutter ensures that the keyboard is optimally protected. It can be locked with the key lock.

Connections

The organ has a wide choice of connection options. In addition to standard connections such as a headphone connection and MIDI connections, the organ has an external stereo input, to which various audio equipment such as CD players or MP3 players can be connected. There is also a USB connection to which a USB stick can be connected. Allows settings to be saved or uploaded and MIDI tracks recorded or played back.
