Taylor Academy 12e
Taylor
Taylor is an American company that was founded in 1974 when two boys bought an old hippie guitar shop. The boys were very passionate about guitars and put a lot of energy into the shop. Eventually, the shop evolved into an international company. All Taylor guitars today are made in either El Cajon in California or Tecate in Mexico. Taylor is very proud of this, because guitars that are produced close to headquarters go through a more thorough quality control process and employee satisfaction is better regulated. Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. All guitars are perfected and with modern luthier techniques the guitars can be made with more precision and consistency.
The Academy Series
The Academy series contains great guitars for an awesome price. All the guitars are Taylor standard, which means they sound and feel like a real Taylor. In this series, Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. As such, the guitars have carved armrests and a narrower neck. All guitars in the series have a solid top for a beautiful projection and an authentic sound.
The Academy 12e
The Academy 12e is a useful guitar. The body has a solid spruce top and laminated sapele back and sides. This will result in a bright and warm sound. The guitar has a maple neck and an ebony fretboard. The guitar has a Grand Concert body, which is a comfortable shape that is a bit smaller than the Dreadnought. The neck is also a bit shorter which makes it more suitable for smaller or younger guitar players. Furthermore, the shape gives the guitar a nicely balanced sound. The guitar has ES-B electronics so the amplified sound will sound authentic.
