The sound reproduction of the Sonique
Johannus is a renowned organ builder where research and development have been highly valued for many years. In the new Johannus Sonique series, this leads to many impressive technologies that raise the sound experience to new heights. Spearheads of the new Sonique are the new OranjeCore+ technology and the new Digital Mixer. The OranjeCore+ technology consists of a system with eight speakers and a subwoofer driven by four amplifiers, allowing optimal balance for top channels and side speakers to be created. The new digital mixer takes the quality of the audio system to unprecedented levels. It allows the four audio channels to be handled independently of each other, allowing maximum output from the speakers. The end result is detailed high and transparent tones while also providing a very good acoustic with surround experience. An unrivalled sound reproduction in its class!

Play with headphones? This is also fine with the new Sonique. The organ features an immersive stereo experience when playing with headphones. Thanks to smart innovations, playback has become lifelike and the organist will even forget he or she is wearing headphones. With the built-in equalisers, it is even possible to tune the sounds to personal taste via headphones.
Convolution reverb
When you play on an organ in the living room, any kind of reverb is missing, which is why a good built-in reverb programme is crucial. Johannus uses the new and entirely in-house developed convolution reverb that consists of 12 different programmes. The convolution reverb uses up to as many as 48,000 reflections per second. The reverb recordings from many world-famous churches give Johannus a lot of information that is incorporated into the Sonique organs where each key is individually enriched with reverb.
Disposition and additional solo voices
The Sonique 260 has a 37-voice disposition divided over pedal, main and swell parts. Johannus has based the sounds on samples from internationally known pipe organs and, partly due to the high-quality techniques, this ensures a very authentic sound experience. All voices are playable in four sound styles; romantic, symphonic, baroque and historical, so that a suitable sound can be created for every composition. A nice detail are the two added solo voices in the form of a pan flute and a trumpet. These voices can be called up via the thumb pistons and offer an opportunity to enrich the organ playing.
