New samples, style variable disposition & orchestral voices
As you have come to expect from previous study organs, this new Johannus Studio 260 also has four different sound styles. The major development is that these are based on recordings from real churches, which gives the sounds even more their own identity. The Studio 260 has these samples:
Romantic -> Vater-Müller organ, Oude Kerk Amsterdam
Baroque -> Silberman organ, Katholische Hofkirche Dresden
Symphonic -> Adema organ, Raalte and Cavaillé Coll organ, Paris
Historical -> Hinsz organ, Bovenkerk Kampen
The style variable disposition is an interesting innovation, as it offers the opportunity to bring to life the unique voices of each organ style and create an authentic experience for the organist. Johannus achieved this by double-graphing some registers, for example one register is a Flute Harmonique in the symphonic style while the same register represents a Quintadeen in the other styles. Another nice voice that is present on the organ and will be much appreciated is the Carillon van Kampen.
The Studio 260 has a wide range of registers, including beautiful solo voices such as trumpet and pan flute. These solo voices can be used alone or combined with other registers depending on your musical goals and tastes and are intended to add extra expressiveness and variety to your organ playing.
Reverb and ambience function
The use of convolution reverb and its powerful processor produce 48,000 reflections per second, leading to a lifelike reverb experience. In addition, in the Studio 260 you also have access to 12 different types of reverb to adjust the organ to your wishes. With the ambiance function there is also the option to change your position as a listener, for example very close to the pipes or at the very back of the church.
Options and possibilities
The Studio 260 is an organ with two manuals that is available in four color versions. This model is a modern black version, called Charcoal Black. In addition to this version, the organ is also available in the colors Light Riverside, Nautilus Teak and Wenge. For those who prefer an organ with three manuals, the Johannus Studio 360 is on the market or even the positive model Studio P360.
