The Roland TD-27KV2 is the successor to the successful TD-27KV drum kit. The old TD-27 was loved by enthusiastic hobbyists to professional drummers because of its great playing comfort and unprecedented possibilities. After a number of years of further development, Roland can now implement a number of refinements that further improve the playing experience.
What is new in the TD-27KV2?
There are a number of changes made to the Roland TD-27KV but the one we considered the most important is the hi-hat upgrade. The new version comes with the new 14-inch digital hi-hat, the VH-14D. The digital technology makes the hi-hat even more sensitive, allowing you to create the smallest nuances in your drumming. The 18-inch ride remains as it was, but the two crash cymbals have also been updated. Feedback from the professional scene was often that the Roland cymbals played well but felt too thick. The Japanese company has addressed this and is now releasing both the 12-inch and 14-inch crash in a "thin" version and further improves playability.
The basis of all sounds that can be made on the drum kit is of course the module. This module has had an update that makes more functions available and it has the Prismatic Sound Modeling technology from the flagship, the TD-50. In total there are 75 preset kits that are ready for use, of which 10 new kits have been added that consist entirely of new samples.
