Martin 0X Tenor Ukulele - Sunset

The 0X Tenor Ukulele

Martin is the oldest ukulele manufacturer that still produces ukuleles. The 0X is an important new addition to this: decades of experience and knowledge combined with modern innovation. The tenor shape was a deliberate choice: the size allows for extra resonance and produces consequently a more powerful and richer sound. The body of the ukulele is completely made of HPL. HPL stands for high-pressure laminate, which consists of multiple layers of wood fibre that are pressed together at a high temperature. This creates a very thin but very sturdy plank. During this process, the plank will be drenched with resin, which makes it impenetrable, even to light and moisture. HPL ukuleles are thus resistant to climate, which makes them ideal for very humid and very dry climates. A softshell case is included with the ukulele, which makes the 0X also ideal for the travelling musician.

Martin

Martin is a reputable American company which has been making guitars for almost 200 years. Throughout the years they have become one of the best when it comes to western guitars. This is because quality is their biggest priority. Consequently, Martin guitars are very popular. There are even many famous guitarists who use Martin guitars, like Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, and David Gilmour. Furthermore, their production process is environmentally friendly. Since the ‘90s they have worked together with the FSC to prevent deforestation. They only use wood from trees that have to be cut down to keep the forest healthy. The other parts of the guitar are recycled, as well. By purchasing a Martin guitar you are thus not only investing in quality, but also the environment.
