Crafter Guitars
Crafter is a Korean company that was started in 1972 by HyunKwon Park. Park started producing guitars in his basement. The company was named Sungeum, which means “accomplishing the sound” in Korean. This name was chosen as it coincided with the quality of the products and the work ethics of the company. After only four years the company was too big for the basement and they started producing guitars in a building. The company moved to Yangju-gun, which is located near Seoul. From 1986 forward the company started distributing its guitars internationally. Consequently, the name of the company was changed from Sungeum to Crafter to make it sound more international. The name Crafter was chosen as it indicated the companies passion for crafting guitars.
Orchestra guitars
Orchestra guitars are amazing guitars for both beginners and advanced players. The guitar is a bit smaller than the popular Dreadnought and a little shallower. As such, Orchestra guitars are often very comfortable against the body. The smaller body also makes sure the sound is a little softer and thus more versatile. The guitar is both suitable for rhythm guitar and fingerpicking. Crafter has a wide variety of Orchestra guitars, including the amazing STG guitars, such as the STG T-28CE Pro, the STG T-22CE Pro and the STG T-16CE Pro. Furthermore, they also produce the great HT series, within which they produce guitars without electronics, like the HT100-N, but also with electronics, like the HT100-CE-N. Crafter Orchestra guitars are of high quality and are very versatile!
Dreadnought guitars
Dreadnought guitars are the most popular guitars on the market. Its big body makes the guitar very suitable for rhythm guitar, as it has a loud projection. The body has a square-like shape, which makes the guitar stand out. Although the guitar is mostly suited for rhythm guitar, it is still possible to use it for fingerpicking. The Dreadnought is one of the largest guitars on the market, meaning they’re not suitable for everyone. However, the guitar is used in many different songs due to its popularity, which means it’s the ideal guitar for playing along! Crafter produces many different types of Dreadnought guitars. One of their most popular series is the STG series, which includes the STG D-28CE Pro and the STG D-16CE Pro. Furthermore, they also produce Dreadnoughts within the HD and Able series, which includes guitars without electronics, like the Able D630N and the HD100-N.
Grand Auditorium guitars
Grand Auditorium guitars are more versatile than Dreadnought guitars. The body is a bit smaller meaning it’s more comfortable. Furthermore, due to the shape of the guitar it is better suited for fingerpicking than a dreadnought guitar. However, due to the round shape of the bottom of the body it’s still very suited for rhythm guitar. The sound of the guitar is also more balanced and richer. The versatility and the size of the guitar make them great for beginners as well. Crafter also produces Grand Auditorium guitars within their STG series, such as the STG G-22CE Pro and the STG G-18CE Pro.
