Johannus Opus (En) - opus_nieuwsbericht

Within the organ world, Johannus Opus is a household name familiar to almost every organist. The Ede-based organ builder has been producing Opus models since the early 1970s and over the years the name has grown into a true family. It is certainly not surprising that the Opus name has become a household name because throughout its life, the organs have been very well received because of simplicity of operation, not too much fuss but maximum organ experience. In every part of an Opus, the organist is number one.

The latest generation of Opus

Presented by Johannus in spring 2024, the latest generation of Opus models consists of two models, the two-manual Opus 260 and the three-manual Opus 360. The latest generation lives up to the Opus name with fast start-up times, excellent sound quality and long-term reliability. Naturally, it features latest technologies such as OrangeCore+ and a new convolution reverb.

Real samples in the Opus 260 and Opus 360

The Johannus Opus 260 and Opus 360 models feature four sound styles; Romantic, Symphonic, Historical and Baroque. For each style, Johannus has recorded renowned organs in famous churches and used these recordings. For example, the Romantic sound style exclusively uses voices from the Vater-Müller organ of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam and the symphonic style features sounds from the Adema organ in Raalte combined with voices from the Cavaillé-Coll from Paris. The historical style features samples from the Hinsz organ in Kampen and lastly, the Baroque style is based on the sounds of the Silbermann organ from the Hofkirche in Dresden.
