New Sweelinq sample: Wolfferts Heijneman organ

Sweelinq announces a new sampleset. This time from the Wolfferts Heijneman organ in Zaltbommel. This organ can be found in the Sint-Maartenskerk.

Rich history

The Wolfferts Heijneman organ has a rich history dating back to 1783. In that year, the inspiration for this organ was born. Wolfferts built an organ in that year, which was renewed five years later by organ maker Heijneman. In Zaltbommel, people knew about his work and asked him for an extension. In this way, the styles of Wolfferts and Heijneman were combined.

Disassembled and restored

In the nineteenth century most organs in the Netherlands underwent major changes, but in Zaltbommel this remained limited. It was not until 1944 that the organ was disassembled by several citizens who feared that the tower would be blown up. It was then provisionally restored by the organ builder De Coff.

A promising sample

You can now experience Wolfferts and Heijneman's mix, with all the changes that have taken place over time, for yourself. In fact, this promising sample can now be played at home, including on the Content Cambiare Suite.
