This was Wind Instrument Day
Rutger Mathys
It was pleasantly busy when Rutger Mathys played his harmonica in the morning, accompanied by background tracks. One of the highlights was when he accompanied himself on the piano and played the song “Piano Man” by Billie Joel on two instruments at the same time. Rutger is no stranger to multitasking, and that was evident again this Saturday when he managed to blow the audience away with his musical skills.
Information about Suzuki
In addition to Rutger's concert, several customers had come specifically to learn more about Suzuki's harmonicas. The representative who was present on behalf of the company that day answered questions and explained what makes Suzuki unique. He also explained how production works and where the harmonicas come from.
Noortje van Middelkoop
In the afternoon Noortje van Middelkoop stole the show with her most famous and popular pan flute pieces. The audience, including many children who also picked out their first flute, trumpet or pan flute, sat in a relaxed atmosphere. Apart from her performance, Noortje spoke to many customers to answer questions and talk more about the pan flute.
Winning prizes
There was also a competition, the winners of which will be announced soon. There were two prizes to be won: an SML Paris FL300 and a Stagg harmonica set. In short, a great day for anyone interested in wind instruments!
