Eastman was founded in 1992 by Qian Ni, a Chinese musician who had moved to America. He realised there were few professional instruments available at the time, which is why he decided to start his own company. Quality is still Eastman’s priority. Every instrument is made by hand and goes through an extensive process to ensure that the instruments will stand the test of time and can be used quite intensively.

The E1OOSS-SB

The E1OOSS-SB is a great OO/concert guitar. This is a comfortable shape which is a bit smaller than the popular Dreadnought. This also makes the guitar a better choice for smaller guitarists. Although the guitar has an OO shape, it also has a slope shoulder design, which means that the top of the body rounds off towards the neck instead of staying flat. This makes the body more comfortable but also makes the sound a little brighter. The top of the body is made of solid spruce which produces a beautiful warm sound. The back and sides are made of solid sapele. This produces a bright and loud sound. Furthermore, the guitar has a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard for ultimate comfort.
