These pedals are based on the original Bassman tube amps, of which the first model was released in 1952 and subsequently took the world by storm. Bassman amps are still available, but nowadays they consist of a separate head and cabinet which have to be bought separately. Consequently, the price can add up quite quickly. As a result, Fender decided to develop effects pedals which can produce the same beautiful sounds as the famous Bassman amp. There are five different pedals in the series: the Bassman Compressor, the Bassman Delay, the Bassman Driver, the Bassman Fuzz, and the Bassman Reverb. These pedals were carefully designed with both analogue and digital circuits and they produce a beautiful sound. Moreover, the pedals are nicely compact and quite affordable.

The Bassman Compressor

The Bassman Compressor is a handy compressor pedal for basses. The compressor is easy to use but guarantees a beautiful compression. Fender used the RMS compression circuitry for this pedal, which is often used in the most famous studio racks. The pedal has three knobs with which you can alter the sound perfectly: the Comp knob, the Level knob (with which you can decide of the level of compression in your sound), and the Blend knob (with which you can decide to what degree the clean sounds get mixed in). Additionally, the pedal contains a ratio switch and a release switch so you got access to different presets.    

Fender

Fender is an American company which was founded in 1946 by Leo Fender. The company is known for their solid body electric guitars and was the first to sell these guitars. Their first guitar was the Telecaster, which became very popular. This model was followed up with the equally popular Stratocaster and the Fender Bass. Throughout the decades they have designed more popular shapes which explains their current popularity quite well. Additionally, Fender prioritises quality. It is thus not surprising that their guitars are used by many famous guitarists, like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour. Nowadays they also produce high-quality accessories and amplifiers.
