Godin
Godin is a Canadian company which produces high quality and innovative guitars. They are relatively sustainable, because most of their wood comes from North-America, which means they don’t participate in the exploitation and deforestation in South-America and Central-Africa. All Godin guitars are made by hand by the best luthiers in Canada, which means they can guarantee high quality guitars.
A classical electric guitar
The MultiAc is a combination between a classical guitar and an electric guitar. This is very innovative, because it’s quite new. The MultiAc is inspired by solid body electric guitars, but with a semi-hollow body design. This means the body isn’t completely hollow, but has chambers instead. This means the vibrations of the strings resonate a bit better. The guitar also doesn’t have a sound hole, which means the resonance comes from the wood, instead. The guitar also has a classical design: the strings are made from nylon and the headstock and the bridge are inspired by classical guitars. The guitar has a piezo pickup. This is a standard acoustic pickup, which means the sound is as authentic as possible, and the pickup will not distort the sound. The sound of the guitar can be altered with the sliders on the body. The guitar has a standard jack input, which means it can be connected to an amp, but it also has a XRL-input, which means it can be connected to a synthesizers, which means the guitar is really versatile.
Materials
The back and sides of the MultiAc are made of mahogany. Mahogany is known for its warm and powerful sound. The top of the body is made of spruce. Spruce is one of the most popular tone woods because it has an amazing sustain and a warm sound. This combination gives the MultiAc an authentic sound. The guitar has a mahogany neck and a Richlite fretboard. Richlite is a synthetic material which is made with wood fibres and resin. It’s a sustainable alternative and works great for fretboards. Richlite also doesn’t require maintenance and plays great. The MultiAc is thus a very innovative and professional guitar!
