The Joh.deHeer Piano Carpet Large is the ideal addition to your acoustic piano. The carpet has been developed to optimally protect both your piano and the floor. A piano carpet is not just a carpet, but a way to neatly process a heat shield. This is therefore the remedy that you can use if you want to place your piano on a floor with underfloor heating. But the carpet has several functions, because you get the following benefits:
- Protects your instrument against rising heat from underfloor heating
- Works sound dampening
- Prevents direct floor contact, avoiding vibrations
- Protects your floor against scratches
- Prevents dust and dirt from getting under your piano
SIZES OF THE PIANO CARPET LARGE
The Joh.deHeer Piano Carpet Large has a size of 151 x 58 cm. This allows all pianos with a maximum outer size of 151 x 58 cm to be placed on this carpet at the bottom. Do you have a piano that is much less deep? Then view the Joh.deHeer Piano Carpet Small. Carpet is also available for grand pianos.
Humidity
For the technical condition of a piano or grand piano, it is essential that your instrument is placed in good conditions. Too low humidity or rising heat from underfloor heating can cause cracks and tears in the comb, the soundboard and the voice block. The result is that your piano can no longer be tuned and thus loses its sound and value. Repairing this is very expensive and that is why it is important to monitor the humidity with a hygrometer. For a piano it is important that it is between 40 and 60%.
The piano Carpet is the means to counter the rising heat of underfloor heating and to protect your instrument. However, you still need to keep an eye on the humidity. If this is too low, it is best to have a hydrocele tube or a piano life safer system installed to protect your instrument.
