The Circa 74

The Circa 74 is the amazing new addition to Taylor’s assortment: they finally sell a guitar amp! Taylor has done exactly what they’ve always excelled at: creating an instrument that sounds beautifully dynamic but is also a great addition to your décor. It all started with Bob Taylor, one of the founders of Taylor Guitars, when he decided to work with the leftover pieces of tonewood that couldn’t be used for guitars anymore. He decided to make an acoustic guitar amp and with the help of electrician Tyler Robertson and woodworker David Judd they came up with the insane Circa 74.

Versatility in a beautiful cabinet

The wooden cabinet surrounding the high-quality speaker results in a warm and dynamic sound, instead of the sharp sound most acoustic amps make. The system also works together with most preamps on the market, and it of course it works perfectly together with the preamps in Taylor’s guitars. Furthermore, the system is easy to use due to the simple knobs and effects, while still providing a professional sound. Moreover, the system is also versatile in its use. As such, the Circa 74 has a regular input for instruments and another input for microphones. This makes the system ideal for singer/songwriters as you don’t have to bring a separate speaker for your microphone. The system also has Bluetooth connection, so you can play along to your favourite music or simply use the amp as a separate Bluetooth speaker. Additionally, the Circa 74 is a gorgeous piece of décor due to its 1970s wooden exterior and the included wooden stand.

Taylor

Taylor is an American company that was founded in 1974 when two boys bought an old hippie guitar shop. The boys were very passionate about guitars and put a lot of energy into the shop. Eventually, the shop evolved into an international company. All Taylor guitars today are made in either El Cajon in California or Tecate in Mexico. Taylor is very proud of this, because guitars that are produced close to headquarters go through a more thorough quality control process and employee satisfaction is better regulated. Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. All guitars are perfected and with modern luthier techniques the guitars can be made with more precision and consistency.
