To be fair, you can always count on Yamaha; this Japanese company produces high-quality (digital) instruments and is a popular choice for digital drum kits. This set contains everything you’ll need as a beginner: a hi-hat plus pedal, a kick pedal, a snare pad, three tom pads, two cymbals, the rack, and the module. However, almost everything, as the set doesn’t include a stool or sticks, which you’ll need to purchase separately. This is nevertheless the standard, as both the stool and the sticks are subject to personal comfort. Every drummer has their favourite sticks and a stool, which means they’re sold separately. Yamaha focussed on the quality of the DTX402KRL, because a high-quality instrument will keep a beginner motivated to keep playing. They also prioritised affordability, as a beginner is likely unwilling to pay as much as a seasoned musician.
