With an exquisite sound and smooth touch, the Kawai K-200 Silent Piano has the character to satisfy any pianist. From the novice player to the most experienced pianist, everyone will love this 1.14 meter high piano. A warm round sound characterizes this model. The beautiful and chic finished housing is also a true addition to your interior! This piano is equipped with the ATX4 silent system. Pressing the center pedal locks the hammers so that no more acoustic sound is produced. Sensors under the keys accurately register the keystroke and convert it into a digital sound that can be listened to via the headphones. Ideal for practicing when the environment does not appreciate piano sound. This piano is also available in a version without a silent system.

Manner of playing of the Kawai K-200
The manner of playing of the Kawai K-200 is very pleasant and that is due to the “Millennium III” mechanism. Made from ABS carbon, the materials are lightweight yet incredibly sturdy and stiff, allowing the keyboard to play smoothly without losing power. It results in a strong and fast mechanism that allows you to exercise optimal control and which will be audible down to the smallest nuances. Compared to a slightly cheaper model, such as the K15 Kawai has made the keys slightly longer, making the response more even and easier to play.
Sound characteristics of the K-200
The Japanese quality company Kawai attaches great importance to a full, warm sound, so that a lot of attention is paid to the soundboard. This is the heart of a piano and ensures that the vibrations of the strings are transformed into rich-sounding tones. Solid spruce that is carefully selected and meets high quality requirements is only used so that Kawai can always guarantee its high quality.
The higher the housing of a piano, the longer the strings become and this leads to a fuller sound. With a height of 1.14, this high-quality Kawai is able to produce a full and deep sound in which bass tones come out beautifully. But even the most subtle nuances are playable and audible. Partly due to the double-laid felt on the hammer heads, the creation of extraordinary tones is supported. If you are looking for a higher model upright piano, you can check out models like the K-300.
Versions
This Kawai piano is finished in a beautiful ebony polished finish and has silver hardware.
The silent system
The silent system is a very nice addition to this piano. If piano music is not desirable for the environment, many hours can still be played. The fun certainly does not diminish, because the quality of the digital system is very high. The brand new “GP Touch Muting System” improves the stopping of the hammers just before the strings are struck. As a result, the playing feel remains very natural even with the digital system.
In terms of sound, the Kawai SK-EX concert grand piano is the starting point. This piano has built up a worldwide reputation and graces the stages of every concert hall. Exceptional clarity and dynamic range are features for which this model is praised. In the ATX4 system you can enjoy this wonderful professional sound.
The technique with which the sound is created has been worked on for many years. This ultimately results in the “multi-channel Sampling” technology in which multiple recordings are stacked to create the final sound. Resonance properties are then placed over this technique with its own technique.
In addition to the piano sound, the ATX4 system features many additional extraordinary sounds such as electric pianos, organs and strings. Multiple settings are possible, such as stacking these sounds or splitting them. Bluetooth can be used to connect to mobile devices for easier operation or additional settings such as sound editing or recording functionality.
This piano comes with the Kawai SH-9 Headphones!
