Line 6
Line 6 is a guitar company that was founded in 1996 in California. In 1996 they produced the first modelling amp in the world, the AxSys 212. They focussed mostly on modelling techniques with amps and effect pedals. Furthermore, they prioritise versatility, which means their technology contains many different types of modelling and sounds. Additionally, they played an important role in the improvement and availability of digital recording. In 2014 Line 6 was bought by the popular Japanese company Yamaha. Yamaha is a huge company that produces many different types of instruments and audio products. Consequently, Line 6 didn’t just grow, it also became available worldwide. Moreover, Yamaha prioritises innovation and creativity, which means their subsidiary Line 6 still strives to produce the best and newest products.
The Spider V MkII Series
The Spider V MkII amps are the ultimate versatile guitar amplifiers. You can use the amps as a plug and go system but you can also adjust the sound completely. Consequently, you can rock out to popular sounds but also create a beautifully unique sound. The amps contain many different high-quality modelling amps, effects, and presets. Furthermore, you can use the amps as a USB interface which means you can connect it directly to your PC or laptop to record your sound.
The Spider V 20 MkII
The Spider V 20 MkII is the ideal practice or starter amp. This is because the amp is very compact and won’t take up much space. Additionally, the amp isn’t very powerful so you won’t rock the whole house when you’re practicing. The amp contains three FX buttons with which you can bypass certain effects. You can thus create certain effects combinations and save these under the three FX buttons. Moreover, the amp has a built-in tuner so you don’t need a clip-on one.
