The Boss Katana Gen 3 series is part of Boss’ Katana series. This series is named after the traditional Japanese sword: the katana. This symbol shows the combination of traditional craftsmanship and innovation. Within this series, Boss develops versatile and powerful amps for a relatively low price. The Katana series stands next to the Waza Craft series, which means that the most innovative technology has been used. The amps contain several effects, which means these amps are ideal for the musician who likes to play different styles. The third generation has an improved response and expression. Furthermore, the third generation produces a better faux-tube amp sound with the innovative technology that Boss has developed since the MkII series. Additionally, the user interface has become more intuitive and the built-in effects are smoother. The third generation is thus literally Next Level. The Katana-50 Gen 3

The Katana-50 Gen 3 is an awesome amplifier for a beautiful price. The amp is also very compact which makes it easy to transport and it won’t take up much space. Although it’s a transistor amp it can still replicate a tube amp brilliantly. Furthermore, it’s a 50-watt amp and has a 12-inch speaker so it can produce a relatively powerful sound, powerful enough for rehearsals and small gigs, but not for larger crowds. The amp also has five independent effect categories: Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb. The amp even has four memory slots where you can save your favourite combinations. Do you want a beautifully overdriven sound with a low volume? That’s no problem, as Boss perfected a cranked-amp tone at low volumes.
