Line 6
Line 6 is a guitar company that was founded in 1996 in California. In 1996 they produced the first modelling amp in the world, the AxSys 212. They focussed mostly on modelling techniques with amps and effect pedals. Furthermore, they prioritise versatility, which means their technology contains many different types of modelling and sounds. Additionally, they played an important role in the improvement and availability of digital recording. In 2014 Line 6 was bought by the popular Japanese company Yamaha. Yamaha is a huge company that produces many different types of instruments and audio products. Consequently, Line 6 didn’t just grow, it also became available worldwide. Moreover, Yamaha prioritises innovation and creativity, which means their subsidiary Line 6 still strives to produce the best and newest products.
The HX Stomp
Line 6 also refers to the HX Stomp as a “Super Stompbox”. The system is compact yet contains all professional grade and authentic HX modelling sounds that are also present in their large Helix processors. Furthermore, the system is also suitable for both guitars and basses, which means the system is ideal for the musician who plays both. This versatility is present throughout the entire pedal, as you can use it in many different setups. This includes set-ups like a direct connection through your pedalboard to the amp, in stereo to two speakers, as an audio interface (USB-B) so you can record music from multiple instruments, as a DSP expansion of another multi-effect pedal, as a direct set-up, and as a four-cabled method. Examples of these setups are illustrated in the added photos. Due to the small size, it’ll fit nicely on your pedalboard and the user interface is clear and easy to use.
