Here is Boss' new generation of their Katana amplifiers: the Katana Gen 3!
Boss has finally launched their new version of the popular Katana series: the Katana Gen 3! The new generation has everything that the older Katana models have, but improved and more extensive. The new amplifiers feature better response and expression. The user interface has also become more intuitive and they have streamlined the effects to make them work and sound better together.
In addition, all amps have six unique amp types to choose from and multiple memory locations to store your favorite combinations. Moreover, Boss has made sure that you can make a beautiful ripping sound at a low volume, something that is very difficult. An important part of the new series is the New Tube Logic system. This system is specifically designed to recreate the sound of a tube amplifier very accurately and authentically.
They have managed to develop this technology between producing the Katana MkII series and the Katana Gen 3 series by conducting careful research and using the most innovative technology. The Gen 3 amplifiers are literally Next Level.
The amplifiers:
- The Katana-50 Gen 3: a 50 watt amplifier with a 12 inch speaker, without line out.
- The Katana-50 EX Gen 3: the same as the Katana-50 Gen 3 but better suited for performance due to the line-out, the Stereo Expand function and improved cooperation with footswitches.
- The Katana-100 Gen 3: a 100-watt amplifier with a 12-inch speaker. Possibility of three resonance types and has three equalizers and three-way contour.
- The Katana-100/212 Gen 3: the same as the Katana-100 Gen 3 but with two 12-inch speakers.
- The Katana Artist Gen 3: the flagship of the series with eight memory spaces, three different cabinet resonance options and a Bloom switch.
- The Katana Head Gen 3: a 100 watt head that is compact and therefore easy to transport. Can be used with different cabinets and has three different cabinet resonance options.
- The Katana Artist Head Gen 3: the head version of the Katana Artist Gen 3, with the same functions but in head shape.
